Bendigo Writers Festival is an annual three-day event which gathers more than 100 writers for discussions about every kind of writing under the sun.
For eight years, from 2012 to 2019 it was an end-of-winter celebration that has warmed up our beautiful Central Victorian region with a friendly, exuberant, tempting program for young and old.
In 2020, we move to the second weekend in May, with a full-day’s program on Saturday May 9, plus prior events on Friday evening and a couple of extras on Sunday May 10, which is Mother’s Day, so perfect to share.
In 2021, we’re back to our 3-day multi-venue program and will also be partnering with the City of Greater Bendigo’s City of Gastronomy office to promote food sustainability as part of the Festival’s commitment to championing discussion about the environment and healthy futures.
Bendigo Writers Festival is an initiative of Bendigo Venues & Events, a unit of the City of Greater Bendigo, and is supported by La Trobe University and Bendigo Tourism.
