Stories are essential to who we are: they connect us with those we love; allow us to communicate to the outside world; empower us to celebrate our successes and enable us to anchor our emotions. In this writing workshop we will be going through the poetic process of taking an initial idea and crafting it all the way into a developed piece. The workshop is suitable for anyone interested in learning how to craft words into a poem, whether you are just starting out or have written many poems. You will receive guidance about craft and technique, to help cultivate those ideas so they take shape on the page. Bring something to write with (paper and pens, and/or your laptop).
