Tansy Curtin was appointed to the position of Curatorial Manager at Bendigo Art Gallery in 2016.
Prior to this she held the positions of Senior Curator 2011 to 2016 and Curator from 2006 to 2011.
Originally from South Australia, Tansy has undertaken curatorial and management roles at Adelaide Central Gallery, Flinders University Art Museum and the Anne and Gordon Samstag Museum.
She holds a Masters in Art History from the University of Adelaide. In her time at Bendigo Art Gallery, Tansy has curated numerous exhibitions including The Long Weekend: Australia Artists in France 1918–39, American Dreams: 20th century photography from George Eastman House, Michael O’Connell: The Lost Modernist and Genius and Ambition: The Royal Academy of Arts, London.
She has also project managed many of the Gallery’s key fashion and textiles exhibitions including The White Wedding Dress and Grace Kelly: Style Icon.
Tansy curated the highly successful recent exhibitions: Bendigo Art Gallery and Twentieth Century Fox present Marilyn Monroe and The costume designer:Edith Head and Hollywood.
