susan lawrence

Professor Susan Lawrence has more than 25 years of experience in historical archaeology in Australia. Her recent research on the Anthropocene concerns the intersection of mining, water use, rivers and environmental change. Her work has included the social archaeology of industry, gender and households, colonisation, material culture, landscape archaeology and urban archaeology. Much of her work has focussed on the Australian gold rush and the colonial whaling industry.
