Lian Low is a writer, editor and spoken word artist.
She is currently editor-at-large for Asian-Australian arts and culture magazine Peril.
Lian worked on the performance text for Do you speak Chinese? which was part of the Dance Massive program, held at the Malthouse Theatre.
Further publications include When Our Children Come Out: How to Support Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Young People, Growing Up Asian in Australia and Kill Your Darlings.
In 2013 and 2014 she was a festival artist at the Melaka Art and Performance Festival in Malaysia, the largest and only site specific art and performance festival on a UNESCO World Heritage site. In 2014, she was a selected playwright for Lotus: Asian Australian Playwriting Melbourne program (a project partnership between Performance 4a and Playwriting Australia) and a selected artist for Kultour’s Artists Gathering in Melbourne.
