First international guest announced: Lemn Sissay
It's a treat to be able to host someone such as Lemn Sissay, who is considered a national treasure in his home country, the UK. Lemn, as you'll discover when we meet him, means "Why?" in Ethiopian, and it's been a lifelong question for this raconteur, poet, advocate and actor. He's not easy to categorise, but his charisma, his harrowing story, his achievements and his courage - well, they don't need categorising. Lemn will be speaking to Bendigo students, he'll be in conversation with Paul Barclay from RN, he'll be giving a short reading, and he'll be presenting his short play, Something Dark, on Saturday night at the Festival.
