Sunday 11 August 8.15am - 9.45am Bendigo Bowls Club
Breakfast prepared by Nick and Sonia Anthony, Masons of Bendigo
Jill Dupleix and Terry Durack have had more hot breakfasts in more places than they can count. So, we reckon they deserve something very special for their Bendigo visit. They’ll talk with hospitality consultant Kath Bolitho about the life of a food critic, what makes a brilliant restaurant, and their new book, Truth, Love and Clean Cutlery – a new, kinder, dining guide designed to identify the restaurants and food experiences that go above and beyond great food and wine in the ethical, organic and environmentally sustainable ways with which they run their business.
This lavish buffet Breakfast will be prepared and served by Bendigo’s own culinary star duo, Nick and Sonia Anthony from Masons of Bendigo. It includes local and regional produce, including Brassicas, preserved egg yolk, Pithivier of Warialda Belted Galloway beef cheek, Dandor’s Harvest mushrooms, Holy Goat Nectar, quandong and custard pastry, and rhubarb burst rice pudding. Plus!!! Herbal tea blends created by local Indigenous elders and Organic Soul Blend coffee.
Bendigo Writers Festival is proud to support the City of Greater Bendigo’s bid to become a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.
