Lauren Mitchell

Lauren Mitchell is a storyteller from the Central Goldfields region of Victoria. She is a professional and creative writer, and a former newspaper reporter, columnist and magazine editor. Lauren is the author of picture books 'Dragon Dance' and 'Go Bendy Go', she was also the lead writer and interviewer for 'Memories and Milestones: Tertiary Education in Bendigo 1873-2023', which collates the colourful recollections of 26 contributors, spanning staff, alumni and members of the community. Lauren is also the author of 'Upbeat in Bendigo', 'Mixed Cases: Stories of the Bendigo Winegrowers', co-written with John Holton, 'Dear Bendigo', 'Artist Spaces of the Victorian Goldfields' and 'Artist Spaces of Northern Rivers'.

Bendigo Writers Festival is owned by the City of Greater Bendigo and delivered by the service unit Bendigo Venues & Events.
